Licensing Update

While the firearms review appears to be on indefinate hold, new firearms licensing proceedures are on the horizon. The process will involve applications as rumoured through Australia Post. The applications will be forwarded on to firearms licensing section for processing. Once processed, applicants will be informed and those applications that are successful will be forwarded a license. In the case of an addition, a new updated license will be issued. The new license will enable the applicant to then take possesion of the firearm.

The rumoured  new process will mean applicants will no longer have to go to police stations to license firearms and will now allow for more police to be allocated to the front line. the new process should be of benifit to all parties including shooters, collectors, police and the community.
